Webinars

AFE produces four free, informative webinar series for the industry. Read about each below, view past recordings, and register for upcoming webinars!

Grow Pro Webinars

Since May 2021, AFE has hosted FREE monthly webinars through the Grow Pro Webinar Series on production areas and topics that directly impact growers.

Our nationally recognized researchers, hosts, and speakers will offer ‘how-to’ advice based on AFE-funded and other research projects to help the industry navigate through these ever-changing growing challenges. The webinar topics are current and offer long-term opportunities for growers to focus on increased profit, greater sustainability, and improved labor efficiency.

Webinars take place Tuesdays each month and are 30-40 minutes in length, plus a 15-minute question and answer period with the researchers. Audience members can ask the researcher questions on the topic, including problem-solving-related issues you may be experiencing.  For efficiency and quality, the presentations are pre-recorded, followed by a live Q&A.

Young Professionals Council Webinars

AFE hosts regular professional and personal development webinars for our Young Professionals Council (YPC), which are free and open to the public. Established in 2015, the YPC offers leadership, volunteer, and networking opportunities for young industry professionals while getting involved in volunteer opportunities within the floral/horticultural industries.

YPC members participate in online and in-person meetings, webinars, and other networking opportunities to share ideas, collaborate with influential industry members, and help promote careers in the floral industry.

The YPC webinars promote personal and professional growth with topics including career advice, networking tips, leadership, and more.

Floral Marketing Fund Webinars

Originally established as the Floral Marketing Research Fund (FMRF) in 2008 by volunteers of AFE, the Floral Marketing Fund (FMF) represents a community of floral industry organizations and leaders collaboratively supporting and funding floral marketing efforts, consumer research, and promoting the emotional wellness and health benefits to increase consumer consumption of flowers and plants.

AFE continues to oversee the operations of the Floral Marketing Fund. The Fund supports consumer research studies, and webinars share key findings from the final research reports and offer audience members the chance to ask the lead researchers questions directly.

Reducing Thrips and Botrytis Webinars

Initially presented exclusively to our Thrips and Botrytis Research Fund supporters, these recorded webinars and key takeaways are now released to the industry in both English and Spanish. Take advantage of these FREE resources to help with your pest and disease management!
