{"id":8181,"date":"2024-02-13T17:51:21","date_gmt":"2024-02-13T17:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afe.epicenter1.com\/?post_type=resource&#038;p=8181"},"modified":"2024-02-13T17:51:54","modified_gmt":"2024-02-13T17:51:54","slug":"vic-margaret-ball-host-employer-information","status":"publish","type":"resource","link":"https:\/\/endowment.org\/es\/resource\/vic-margaret-ball-host-employer-information","title":{"rendered":"Vic &#038; Margaret Ball Host Employer Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<div\n\tid=\"block_e04153c2d0312d875ade40c309581f71\"\n\tclass=\"nmc-block nmc-block--masthead alignfull  -no-image\">\n\t  \t\t\t<div class=\"masthead_content\">\n\t<div class=\"bound boundwide\">\n\t\t<h1 class=\"masthead_title\">Vic &#038; Margaret Ball Host Employer Information<\/h1>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Host Employers share their knowledge and expertise to ensure a knowledgeable workforce well into the future!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Becoming an AFE Host employer is easy!&nbsp; If your organization has internship opportunities, or is interested in beginning an internship program, you should be working with AFE!<br>AFE and the Vic &amp; Margaret Ball committee take this internships very serious.&nbsp; All applications are carefully screened to ensure the students are mature and knowledgeable enough to handle an internship.&nbsp; Students are evaluated on their coursework, grades, activities within the industry and by their faculty members recommendation.&nbsp; Not all students are approved, and only those who meet our strict scoring requirements are selected.<br><strong>Click here to see a list of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/endowment.org\/es\/recurso\/vic-margaret-ball-host-employers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vic &amp; Margaret Ball Host Employers<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Host employers are always needed.&nbsp; If you are interested in becoming a host employer, please contact AFE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Responsibilities of a Host Employer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employ the Intern at a fair market wage for the geographic area and position (not less than the hourly minimum wage).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide the Intern with an overview of the entire company.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide varied experience with crops, tasks and responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide for periodic Intern\/supervisor discussion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow the Intern time to spend with faculty member during an on-site visit (time to be mutually agreed upon).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help the Intern locate reasonably priced housing for the training period.
