Las p\u00e9rdidas provocadas por estas plagas afectan a diario a todos los segmentos del sector, y resulta complicado controlar los trips y la botritis con los plaguicidas y las estrategias de gesti\u00f3n disponibles en la actualidad. El objetivo de la AFE de alcanzar $1,5 millones en compromisos de financiaci\u00f3n se cumpli\u00f3 en 2019 gracias a las contribuciones de 25 l\u00edderes y organizaciones del sector, destinadas a apoyar investigaciones nuevas e innovadoras para hacer frente a estos retos. Con esos fondos, la AFE ha podido financiar m\u00e1s de quince proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n plurianuales destinados a reducir las p\u00e9rdidas y producir flores y plantas de mayor calidad. La investigaci\u00f3n y los resultados como los presentados hoy solo son posibles gracias al apoyo y las contribuciones del sector.
