Interns are paid by the employer during training, and upon successful completion of the program, receive a $2,000 cash scholarship. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Full-time, undergraduate students who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Are currently enrolled in a floriculture\/environmental horticulture or business program at a 2- or 4-year college university in the U.S. with a recognized floriculture program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a \u201cC\u201d or better GPA with satisfactory progress in a degree or certificate program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate outstanding potential and serious interest in a floral industry field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4\">Where Are the Locations of the Internships?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Training may be conducted in floral retail, wholesale and allied trade companies located in the United States and away from home\/school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transportation costs to and from the location are the student\u2019s responsibility ($500 of the Internship award is available in advance for travel and relocation.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"7\">When and for how long is training available?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Internships are for a period of 10 to 16 weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spring or Fall Internships are preferred for the most meaningful industry experience. Summer internships are allowed when the location can provide valuable experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"6\">What else is required?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students in the Mosmiller Program must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Agree to and fulfill the responsibilities assigned by the employer for the internship time period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit a 500-word report evaluating the experience within 30 days of completing the Program. Reports are shared with the board, employer and used for program promotion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secure permission to interrupt studies for the length of the training period when required by the university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"5\">How Does a Student Apply?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students must complete an&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/endowment.org\/es\/recurso\/mosmiller-intership-application\/\">online application form<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp; An electronic copy of the online application form will be emailed to the student.&nbsp; The copy of the online application form should be given to the student\u2019s faculty member for their signature.&nbsp; The following documents must be submitted to AFE by the faculty member by email along with a copy of the application form signed by the faculty member (see&nbsp;<strong>faculty responsibilities<\/strong>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A statement by the student explaining reasons for applying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Official school transcripts from all institutions attended<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A letter of recommendation and endorsement by the faculty member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The complete application packet must be emailed to AFE by the spring or fall deadline:&nbsp;<strong>March 1<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>October 1.<\/strong><em> <\/em><em>Training must be started within 12 months of application date.<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n<div\n\tid=\"8\"\n\tclass=\"nmc-block nmc-block--half-half alignfull  half-half   alignfull\">\n\t  <div class=\"bound boundwide\">\n    <div class=\"wrap\">\n      <div class=\"image\">\n                                                \n    <div class=\"img-variable\" style=\"width: 1080px;
