Informe Cultivate 2021<\/a><\/span>)<\/p>\n\n\n\nPaul Thomas trabaj\u00f3 como profesor de Horticultura y especialista en Extensi\u00f3n de Floricultura en la Universidad de Georgia desde 1990 hasta su jubilaci\u00f3n el 31 de agosto de 2019. Fue un gran defensor de las pasant\u00edas estudiantiles y del programa de pasant\u00edas Vic & Margaret Ball de AFE, y ayud\u00f3 a mentorizar a cientos de estudiantes. Tras su jubilaci\u00f3n, se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Embajador Acad\u00e9mico de la Fundaci\u00f3n (Endowment), viajando a universidades y colegios universitarios para promover el programa de pasant\u00edas. Ocup\u00f3 este cargo apenas unas pocas semanas antes de su fallecimiento. <\/strong>La Fundaci\u00f3n Floral Americana (AFE) ha anunciado el premio Paul Thomas Floriculture Production Intern of the Year<\/strong>. Dise\u00f1ado para reconocer a un estudiante sobresaliente que ha participado en el programa de pr\u00e1cticas Vic & Margaret Ball, este premio rinde un homenaje especial al difunto Dr. Paul Thomas, profesor jubilado de la Universidad de Georgia, quien falleci\u00f3 en 2019.El programa de pr\u00e1cticas de Vic & Margaret Ball<\/a> Se cre\u00f3 en 1992 con el objetivo de ofrecer a los estudiantes la oportunidad de adquirir experiencia pr\u00e1ctica mientras se forman en un invernadero o vivero de producci\u00f3n comercial.
