El American Floral Endowment (AFE) anuncia un nuevo homenaje p\u00f3stumo en memoria de Edward Seagroatt, establecido por sus amigos de mucho tiempo Red y Katie Kennicott de Kennicott Brothers Co.<\/p>\n

Edward A. Seagroatt, de 81 a\u00f1os, de Troy, falleci\u00f3 el 28 de diciembre de 2022. Fue presidente de Seagroatt Floral en Berl\u00edn y Albany, y m\u00e1s tarde fund\u00f3 Seagroatt Riccardi en Latham, Nueva York.<\/p>\n

Ed fue un l\u00edder en la industria floral y, desde el principio, reconoci\u00f3 y aprovech\u00f3 el poder de la tecnolog\u00eda de la informaci\u00f3n para mejorar la eficiencia y apoyar el crecimiento.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nacido en Troy, Ed era hijo del difunto Albert Seagroatt y Helen Brown Seagroatt. Ed se cri\u00f3 en Berl\u00edn, NY, y residi\u00f3 en el \u00e1rea del Distrito Capital toda su vida. Asisti\u00f3 a la escuela Avon Old Farms en Connecticut y se gradu\u00f3 del Instituto La Salle en Troy, NY. Ed obtuvo un t\u00edtulo en Horticultura Ornamental de la Universidad Estatal de Nueva York en Farmingdale y m\u00e1s tarde sirvi\u00f3 en la Guardia Costera.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es posible que hayas viajado con \u00e9l en su preciado Ford Cabriolet de 1934 con la capota bajada. Puede que lo hayas visto en la ciudad sorprendiendo a alguien con un ramo de rosas de tallo largo. O tal vez te haya llamado en tu cumplea\u00f1os, recordando siempre la fecha pero siendo demasiado educado para mencionar el a\u00f1o. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Optimista por naturaleza, Ed afrontaba cualquier desaf\u00edo con firmeza y valor. Fue bendecido con muchos talentos, pero tal vez su mayor don era el de la amistad. Sirvi\u00f3 a la comunidad de muchas maneras, grandes y peque\u00f1as, y fue un miembro fiel de la Iglesia de Brunswick durante m\u00e1s de cincuenta a\u00f1os. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Ed le sobreviven sus hijas Beth (Steven) Frankel, de Hollis, NH, y Heather (Edward Pittman) Seagroatt, de Princeton, NJ, y su hijo, Shawn (Amy) Seagroatt, de Clifton Park; sus nietos Linley (Rafael) Cedeno, Jillian Frankel, Sam Pittman, Will Pittman y Jack, Max y Tyler Seagroatt; su hermana Alice (Tom) McNally y muchos sobrinos y sobrinas. Su hermano Howard Seagroatt lo precedi\u00f3 en la muerte.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La familia invita a familiares y amigos a visitar la Iglesia Brunswick, 42 White Church Lane, Troy, el mi\u00e9rcoles 4 de enero de 10 a. m. a 12 p. m. A continuaci\u00f3n, se oficiar\u00e1 un servicio f\u00fanebre en la Iglesia Brunswick a las 12 p. m., dirigido por el reverendo Bill Henderson. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
