Se ha establecido un homenaje conmemorativo por FTD<\/a> a trav\u00e9s de Endowment Floral Americano<\/a> en honor a Tom Douglas Moeller, quien falleci\u00f3 el 26 de julio de 2026, a la edad de 62 a\u00f1os. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom dedic\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os a apoyar a los floristas, construir relaciones significativas y fortalecer la industria floral a trav\u00e9s de un liderazgo reflexivo. Se dio a conocer no solo por su visi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, sino por su capacidad para conectar con las personas e inspirar a quienes lo rodeaban. Su legado perdura a trav\u00e9s de las innumerables amistades que construy\u00f3 y el impacto positivo que tuvo en los floristas miembros, colegas y la comunidad floral. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tras comenzar su carrera en bienes de consumo envasados con Nabisco, Schering Plough y la William Wrigley Jr. Company, Tom se uni\u00f3 a FTD en 2010. Lider\u00f3 la Divisi\u00f3n de Floristas de la compa\u00f1\u00eda durante 11 a\u00f1os antes de tomarse un descanso para ofrecer servicios de consultor\u00eda a Passion Roses, y regres\u00f3 a FTD en 2023 para desempe\u00f1arse como presidente de Asociaciones y Operaciones de Floristas. A lo largo de su trayectoria, Tom se centr\u00f3 en fortalecer las relaciones con los floristas miembros y en mejorar el valor y el apoyo que FTD brindaba a su red. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTom dedic\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os a la industria floral, uni\u00e9ndose a FTD en 2010 y desempe\u00f1\u00e1ndose en una variedad de cargos de liderazgo a lo largo de su carrera\u201d, dijo Mike Chapin, director ejecutivo de FTD. \u201cFue un l\u00edder apasionado e inspirador cuya energ\u00eda, optimismo y compromiso con el \u00e9xito dejaron un impacto duradero en FTD y en nuestros floristas miembros. Se le extra\u00f1ar\u00e1 no solo por sus contribuciones profesionales, sino tambi\u00e9n por las relaciones que construy\u00f3 y la influencia positiva que tuvo en sus colegas, los floristas miembros y todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de trabajar con \u00e9l\u201d.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lo largo de su carrera, Tom mantuvo su dedicaci\u00f3n a retribuir a la industria floral m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de sus responsabilidades profesionales. Fue un colaborador de larga data de la AFE y, para continuar con ese legado, el homenaje p\u00f3stumo beneficiar\u00e1 a Fondo FTD<\/strong> en AFE, establecida en 2013. Durante la Cena Anual de AFE de ese a\u00f1o, FTD fue reconocida por sus generosas contribuciones, bajo el liderazgo de Tom, al Fondo de Dotaci\u00f3n. El fondo refleja el compromiso de larga data de FTD con el fortalecimiento de la industria floral.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nacido en Spirit Lake, Iowa, y criado en Waverly, Tom mantuvo los valores de su crianza en el Medio Oeste durante toda su vida. Se gradu\u00f3 en Administraci\u00f3n de Empresas y Marketing en Wartburg College, donde conoci\u00f3 a su esposa durante 40 a\u00f1os, Jennifer. Juntos, criaron a tres hijas, Lauren, Addison y Maggie, mientras la carrera de Tom llevaba a su familia por todo el pa\u00eds y les presentaba amistades para toda la vida. Se llevar\u00e1 a cabo un velorio conmemorativo el viernes 7 de agosto de 2026, de 3:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. en la Funeraria Sullivan, 60 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, Illinois. En consonancia con todo lo que le encantaba a Tom, los invitados pueden usar ropa de los Iowa Hawkeyes o vestimenta en negro y dorado. Se llevar\u00e1 a cabo un servicio f\u00fanebre el s\u00e1bado 8 de agosto de 2026, a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Luterana Redeemer, 139 East First Street, Hinsdale, Illinois. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
