Many of the challenges facing floriculture today, including pest management, postharvest care, and sustainability, are addressed through our funded research. That research often begins with a question from the industry and evolves into solutions developed by university scientists working closely with growers and businesses. It also supports graduate research students pursuing studies in floriculture and horticulture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “AFE gave me the initial funding for my research, and when other granting agencies saw the AFE funding, they were motivated to fund me further.
