El equipo del Dr. Dias tiene como objetivo superar estos desaf\u00edos mediante el desarrollo de nuevos antagonistas del etileno, f\u00e1ciles de usar, que sean tanto eficaces como pr\u00e1cticos para el uso diario en la industria. Durante el a\u00f1o pasado, el equipo prob\u00f3 ocho compuestos reci\u00e9n desarrollados en flores cortadas en colaboraci\u00f3n con una empresa floral global. Dos de estos compuestos mostraron un fuerte potencial para proteger las flores contra los da\u00f1os del etileno, lo que abre el camino para futuras pruebas y perfeccionamiento.
