Nell, Ph.D., was recognized for his many contributions and achievements in the floral industry at Cultivate \u201916.<br>Nell was inducted into the Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame during the Plantscape Awards Celebration in Columbus, Ohio on July 10.<br>The AmericanHort Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame was established to honor individuals of integrity whose personal dedication provide great leadership in the development and growth of the interiorscape industry.<br>Nell is professor emeritus in floriculture at the University of Florida (UF), and developed the UF postharvest program in 1983, which he credits AFE funding for making possible. He served as Chair of the UF Environmental Horticulture Department from 1991-2012 and was a floriculture professor from 1977-2012.<br>His research program concentrated on the production and postharvest handling of flowering potted plants and fresh cut flowers, the results of which have led to improved flower and plant longevity. Nell has served as an industry consultant for growers, wholesalers and retailers nationally and internationally for 25 years.<br>\u00a0<br><strong>Jim Daly<br><\/strong><br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-8694 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/endowment.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/imported-files\/JimDaly-157x300.jpg\" alt=\"JimDaly\" width=\"157\" height=\"300\">Jim Daly, AFE Executive Committee member and Research Committee Chair, was honored at the 7th Annual Flower-Naming Ceremony during the International Floriculture Expo in June.<br>He had a flower named in his honor, and is only the seventh person to receive this award. The annual ceremony recognizes floral industry pioneers who have made a significant impact over the course of their career.<br>Daly is Vice President of Floralife\/Grower Global Operations and Corporate Research (a division of Smithers-Oasis). He has a BS in Chemistry and Mathematics from Elmhurst College, an MS in\u00a0Biochemistry from Illinois Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology.<br>He has shared his expertise with top floriculture organizations around the world on topics ranging from postharvest care and handling to global trends in floriculture.<br>\u00a0<br><strong>Congratulations on
