We are thrilled to announce that our annual fundraiser, “R.I.S.E. to Support 2024<\/strong><\/a>,” has far exceeded our goal, raising over $140,000 for the floral industry. This impressive achievement highlights the unwavering commitment and unity of our industry in advancing growth through research, education, and programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From May 15 to June 28, 2024, our fully virtual campaign successfully engaged the floral community in a fundraising effort to boost support for the Endowment\u2019s essential programs. The overarching theme of R.I.S.E.<\/strong>\u2014Research, Internships, Scholarships, and Education\u2014underscores our dedication to nurturing every facet of the floral sector. Our initial goal was set at $100,000, and thanks to the generosity of more than 115 donors and sponsors, we raised over $143,506<\/strong>. In addition to surpassing our fundraising goal, we are excited to announce the establishment of two new Named Funds and significant contributions to several program funds, including the Arizona Retail Florist Education Travel Grant<\/strong><\/a>, Sustainabloom<\/strong><\/a>, and more. These targeted donations have collectively generated over $180,000 in new funding, further demonstrating the industry\u2019s commitment to fostering growth and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe campaign’s success is a testament to the impact of our sponsors, who play a crucial role in funding programs that drive progress across all segments of the floral industry. Their support is instrumental in building a stronger, more connected, and visionary future for floriculture. The 2024 Campaign’s virtual format enabled broader participation, removing geographical barriers and travel costs. However, for those interested in connecting with AFE in person, we invite you to connect with us at CalFlowers Fun \u2018N Sun in Carlsbad, CA, from September 4-7. We will honor our donors and supporters with a special video at this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
