\"\"<\/a>Today marks the halfway point of\u00a0AFE\u2019s 60 Day Fundraising Campaign<\/strong><\/a>!\u00a0Thanks to the quick work of AFE\u2019s ambassadors and the generosity of our floral industry community, AFE has surpassed its initial goal of $60,000 within the first 30 days.\u00a0With the support of AFE\u2019s volunteer fundraising team\u00a0consisting of its\u00a0Board of Trustees, staff, and\u00a0longtime supporters,\u00a0AFE is setting a new goal of $100,000 with the remaining 30 days! <\/strong>This\u00a0new goal will break records for AFE\u2019s\u00a0annual fundraising event \u2013 during\u00a0our 60th Anniversary Year! Sponsors of this campaign will impact the industry by funding research, scholarships, internships, and grants allowing AFE to\u00a0expand\u00a0its programs.<\/p>

For the second year in a row, the\u00a0<\/a>Endowment Floral Americano<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s annual fundraising event is being held\u00a0virtually in order to assure the safety and health of the floral\u00a0community.\u00a0In honor of AFE\u00a0<\/strong>60.\u00b0 aniversario<\/strong>\u00a0celebration this year, the Board of Trustees, staff, and ambassadors came together and committed to\u00a060 days\u00a0of fundraising from Monday, June 14th\u00a0to Friday, August 13th<\/strong>.<\/p>

<\/a><\/strong>This hugely impactful fundraising campaign is being led by 24 of AFE\u2019s most devoted ambassadors, all with individual goals of $6,000 or more. This peer-to-peer effort is expanding AFE\u2019s network and raising\u00a0awareness for its\u00a0programs and resources.<\/p>

AFE\u2019s Treasurer & Secretary, Ken Young, notes,\u00a0\u201cAs a Trustee and industry member, I\u00a0have directly seen the value\u00a0of AFE\u2019s programs and research. I believe the entire volunteer fundraising team\u00a0understands how imperative it is to continue to fund these initiatives because through supporting AFE, we are directly supporting the future of our industry. And, by extending into our personal networks, we are furthering the reach of AFE\u2019s impact.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

The ultimate objective of this campaign is to continue to help the floral industry flourish and grow through AFE\u2019s many important programs.\u00a0For the past 60 years, AFE has provided vital research, scholarships, internships, and grant\u00a0funding totaling over $18 million, giving back to the industry that we serve. It is only with community support that we will be able to expand funding to help the industry face new challenges and find new advances.<\/p>
