Colegas de la industria y amigos, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como muchos de ustedes ya saben, me jubilar\u00e9 de AFE a finales de 2023. En el umbral de un nuevo cap\u00edtulo en mi vida, mi coraz\u00f3n se llena de gratitud por el incre\u00edble viaje que he tenido en la industria floral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mirando hacia atr\u00e1s, no puedo evitar sentirme abrumado por el profundo impacto que AFE ha tenido en mi vida y en mi carrera. El apoyo inquebrantable de las subvenciones, la plataforma para explorar investigaciones innovadoras e impactantes, y la colaboraci\u00f3n de por vida con los miembros de nuestra vibrante comunidad me han ayudado a convertirme en la persona que soy hoy. Ha sido un privilegio servir y contribuir a una industria que infunde este tipo de vida, belleza y camarader\u00eda en el mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lo largo de mi carrera, la misi\u00f3n de la AFE ha resonado profundamente en m\u00ed. Forjar asociaciones entre el mundo acad\u00e9mico y los l\u00edderes de la industria de la floricultura siempre ha sido mi objetivo. Es emocionante cuando los resultados cient\u00edficos conducen a soluciones del mundo real, y cuando los estudiantes y el cuerpo docente tienen la oportunidad de ver c\u00f3mo su trabajo puede hacer avanzar a la industria. El valor de esta asociaci\u00f3n se evidencia en las continuas contribuciones a los programas de investigaci\u00f3n, pasant\u00edas y becas de la AFE por parte de quienes han sido testigos de estas iniciativas o se han beneficiado de ellas a lo largo de los a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He trabajado junto a nuestra coordinadora de investigaci\u00f3n, Laura Barth, durante el a\u00f1o y medio pasado, present\u00e1ndola a productores, mayoristas y minoristas, prepar\u00e1ndome para la transici\u00f3n que tendr\u00e1 lugar en enero. Tengo plena confianza en que, bajo el liderazgo de Laura, los programas de investigaci\u00f3n de AFE continuar\u00e1n floreciendo, innovando y empoderando a la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de l\u00edderes de la floricultura. Espero que le den la bienvenida y reciban a Laura con el mismo agrado con el que me han recibido a m\u00ed durante los \u00faltimos diez a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A toda la comunidad de AFE, le extiendo mi m\u00e1s profundo agradecimiento. Cada interacci\u00f3n, colaboraci\u00f3n y amistad ha enriquecido mi vida de maneras que me resulta dif\u00edcil expresar por completo. Ha sido un honor y un privilegio servir a esta industria junto a una gran cantidad de personas extraordinarias. Nuestras experiencias compartidas siempre ser\u00e1n recuerdos preciados, y les agradezco su colaboraci\u00f3n a lo largo de este incre\u00edble viaje. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
