Se ha establecido un homenaje memorial en memoria de Andy C. Mast a trav\u00e9s de la Fundaci\u00f3n Floral Estadounidense (American Floral Endowment) por la familia Mast y sus amigos en Compa\u00f1\u00eda de Bulbos de Flores Ednie<\/a>, Fredon, NJ. Andy Mast, propietario de Invernaderos Andy Mast<\/a> y pionero de la industria, falleci\u00f3 el 8 de julio de 2023 a la edad de 76 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

Andy naci\u00f3 de Neal y Jacoba Mast en R\u00f3terdam, Pa\u00edses Bajos, en septiembre de 1946. Emigr\u00f3 con su familia dos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, estableci\u00e9ndose en Grand Rapids, M\u00edchigan. Asisti\u00f3 a la escuela West Side Christian School y a la secundaria Grand Rapids Christian High, gradu\u00e1ndose en 1964. Continu\u00f3 su educaci\u00f3n en la Universidad Estatal de M\u00edchigan, completando su programa de horticultura.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Andy trabaj\u00f3 en asociaci\u00f3n con su padre, Neal, hasta independizarse en 1975 para convertirse en el propietario de Andy Mast Greenhouses. Andy tambi\u00e9n estuvo activo en la comunidad de la floricultura, convirti\u00e9ndose en uno de los miembros originales del Consejo de Productores de Invernaderos de Michigan (MGGC). Dio un paso al frente a nivel estatal para hablar en nombre de los productores de invernaderos locales, abogando por mejoras y comprendiendo los desaf\u00edos que enfrentan sus colegas productores.<\/span><\/p>

Tambi\u00e9n le sobreviven sus hermanos, Rose y Bill Leese, Joyce y Marty Lutrey, Betty Mast, Marsha Martin, Rick y Joyce Mast y Terry Mast; y muchos sobrinos y sobrinas.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
