Tras graduarse de la Universidad de Georgia en 1983, se incorpor\u00f3 al negocio familiar, fundado por su padre, Pete Garcia, en 1965, el cual desde entonces se ha convertido en un proveedor muy respetado de art\u00edculos duros florales en Norteam\u00e9rica. A lo largo de su trayectoria, David ha gestionado con habilidad diversas \u00e1reas, demostrando su versatilidad y profundo conocimiento de la industria.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">La conexi\u00f3n de David con AFE est\u00e1 profundamente arraigada en el legado de su familia, ya que su padre y su t\u00edo fueron miembros del patronato de AFE. Desde 1976, The Pete Garcia Company\/Garcia Group ha contribuido constantemente a la industria floral mediante un apoyo anual a AFE, lo que marca casi cinco d\u00e9cadas de asociaci\u00f3n dedicada a proporcionar recursos esenciales a la comunidad.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">En 2020, la familia Garc\u00eda estableci\u00f3 el<a href=\"https:\/\/endowment.org\/es\/garcia-family-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Fondo de Becas de la Familia Garc\u00eda<\/a> a trav\u00e9s de AFE, con el objetivo de ayudar a los estudiantes que siguen carreras relacionadas con el mercadeo o la distribuci\u00f3n de productos florales, abarcando el comercio minorista, mayorista, la manufactura y la propiedad u operaciones de negocios florales.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">David se convirti\u00f3 en miembro de la junta directiva de AFE en 2015, y actualmente forma parte del comit\u00e9 del Fondo de Comercializaci\u00f3n Floral (Floral Marketing Fund) y preside el comit\u00e9 de Relaciones P\u00fablicas y Desarrollo. Su activa defensa de la misi\u00f3n de AFE culmin\u00f3 en su reciente nombramiento como presidente electo de AFE, y su mandato como presidente comenzar\u00e1 en septiembre de 2024.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>\u201cMi inter\u00e9s en AFE surgi\u00f3 gracias a mi padre y mi t\u00edo, quienes fueron miembros del consejo de administraci\u00f3n.
