More than 50 video entries were received, and provided florists with a <strong>FREE<\/strong> video library to help promote the use and giving of fresh flowers to new and existing customers.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/endowment.org\/es\/botrytis-thrips\/\"><strong><em>Botrytis <\/em>and Thrips Research Campaign<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 addresses the control and management of <strong><em>Botrytis<\/em><\/strong> y <strong>thrips by raising money to<\/strong> conduct new and innovative research, which will lead to reduced losses and higher quality flowers and plants. The goal is to raise $1.5 million, and to date, <strong>more than $800,000<\/strong> has been pledged!<\/li><li><strong>Matching Gift Challenges <\/strong>\u2013 two matching gift campaigns brought in more than $60,000 to the floral industry (<strong>thanks to Sakata Seed America and Smithers-Oasis\/Floralife!<\/strong>).<\/li><li><strong>New Educational Opportunities <\/strong>\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/endowment.org\/es\/afe-announces-two-new-2018-scholarships\/\"><strong>two new scholarships<\/strong><\/a> were established for undergraduate students studying horticulture or floriculture, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/endowment.org\/es\/afe-travel-grant-created-arizona-retail-florists\/\"><strong>new travel grant<\/strong><\/a> was created for Arizona retail florists to receive learning and networking opportunities.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/floralmarketingresearchfund.org\/\"><strong>FMRF Consumer Reports<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Floral Purchase Tracking Study (<strong>\u00a1NUEVO!<\/strong>), Increasing Floral Sales Through Pinterest (<strong>\u00a1NUEVO!<\/strong>), Marketing to Millennials, Generations of Flowers, Funeral Directors and Flowers Guide, Social Media Guide, and
