This grant was established with funding previously stewarded by the Oklahoma State Florists\u2019 Association. The OSFA board chose to entrust these funds to AFE to ensure they would continue to support education and development for Oklahoma florists well into the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"larger wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Each year, one recipient will be selected by AFE\u2019s Education Committee to receive a travel grant of up to $1,000 to help cover the cost of attending an out-of-state industry educational event.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The creation of the Oklahoma Florists\u2019 Education Fund represents a strong commitment to the future of Oklahoma\u2019s floral community. It ensures that shop owners, employees, wholesalers, and students have access to the tools, training, and inspiration needed to flourish in a constantly changing marketplace.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n<div class=\"nmc-block        nmc-block--background        -green        leaf-graphic-right                alignfull        padding-single\">\n        <div class=\"pattern -right\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"gutenberg\">\n        \n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"requirements\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Awards will range from $100 to $1000 dollars, helping to reduce barriers to meaningful educational opportunities both within Oklahoma and beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n<div\n\tid=\"block_e81558a25046995843100ec9159aa26f\"\n\tclass=\"nmc-block nmc-block--list-columns aligntrue  list-columns   aligntrue\">\n\t  <div class=\"list-title\">Each year, eligible applicants may request support for a variety of educational experiences, including but not limited to:<\/div>  <div class=\"list-columns\">\n    <p>\u2022 \u00a0Tuition assistance for individuals currently in the industry to attend design classes to expand their current design skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00a0Funding for retail flower shops that want to bring an outside industry professional into their store.<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00a0Grants for wholesale florists or other local industry organizations wanting to host or provide an educational program in Oklahoma for retail florists. Grants must be used to offset registration fees for attendees.<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00a0Grants for retail or wholesale florists in Oklahoma to attend national or local industry educational seminars, conventions, workshops, and meetings (i.e., SAF Convention, Wire Service Educational Programs, AIFD Symposium, or regional events).<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grants are issued as reimbursements once the event or program has been attended, and individuals may receive an award once every three years.
