The Gus Poesch Foundation
The G. H. “Gus” Poesch Floriculture Endowment was established to honor an individual who devoted over six decades to the floriculture industry. Gus Poesch’s contributions are immeasurable. The influence he had on people in the industry and floricultural educators is basically unsurpassed by any individual in the history of U. S. floriculture.
When Gus was elected into the SAF Floriculture Hall of Fame in 1973, the citation stated that he was “An innovator and stimulator of research, influential educator, and respected businessman, Gus Poesch has made an indelible mark in his profession.”
