The Endowment Distributes Special Report Notebooks To Its Donors! - 2001
An important reference tool - a Special Report Notebook - has been distributed to American Floral Endowment donors who have contributed at least $1,000. A colorful three-ring binder filled with the most recent scientific research reports written in consumer-friendly terms; floral articles; and the most current scientific research progress reports were distributed.
This project was initiated by the Board of Trustees as a means of disseminating to the industry research information obtained from its funding. Two-inch binders were selected to accommodate annual special reports for many years to come.
The research reports are written by some of the industry’s most respected researchers and are designed to provide the reader with a basic understanding of the projects, their results, and how the results can improve floral business practices. Each report provides pictures and contact information for the researcher. The notebook also is divided into the following research areas: Disease Management, Insect Management, Plant Breeding & Genetic Engineering, Postproduction, and Production Technology.
