Flora-Links is the Central Source for Floricultural Research! - 2003
A new website is available that offers a central source for scientific floricultural research and educational programs that will benefit growers, wholesalers, and retailers. The American Floral Endowment has developed this website www.flora-links.org devoted solely to floricultural needs. This site, initiated at the urging of Endowment Trustee, Jim Leider, is designed to provide rapid access to available websites that have been developed and are maintained by Land-Grant Universities, the United States Department of Agriculture/Agricultural Research Service and various segments of the industry. The subject categories range from Bedding Plants to Weed Control and cover all aspects of floriculture. When a new website has been identified, the Endowment reviews the subject matter and subsequently places the site in one or more of the twenty-eight categories, based on the subject matter provided, e.g., disease insects, etc. Currently, the site hosts over 360 links and receives over 1,000 hits per month. The Endowment invites you to visit www.flora-links.org. If you have suggestions, either to improve the linkages or to add additional sites, Contact us. or by telephone at 618-692-0045 ask for Steven Martinez.
