Provided more than a decade of leadership to board

Bob Carbone and Bill Gouldin have retired from the American Floral Endowment Board of Trustees after providing leadership for more than a decade each, including holding the position of board chairman. Bob Carbone served on the Board of Trustees since 1994, holding a number of positions including Mosmiller Committee Chairman Secretary/Treasurer and, most recently, chairman from 2001-2002. He has provided insightful and visionary leadership while working diligently to ensure that educational and scientific research projects have a positive impact on the industry. His work and dedication have had significant positive impact on the EndowmentÕs many fundraising efforts.

Bob is the founder of the R.J. Carbone Company located in Cranston, Rhode Island. The R.J. Carbone Company, established in 1953, is a full-service wholesale florist with multiple locations.

Bill Gouldin has also served on the American Floral Endowment Board of Trustees since 1994. As a connoisseur of consumer data and economic trends, he provided leadership on the Consumer Tracking Study. He is known industry-wide as an expert in floral consumer marketing/statistics.

Bill is President of StrangeÕs Florists, Greenhouses and Garden Centers in Richmond, Virginia. His business operations include multiple retail shops, two garden centers and a wholesale greenhouse range. He is currently building a new garden center.

The Endowment expresses its gratitude for the years of service provided by these two industry leaders.
