The Harold F. Wilkins Scholarship Program was established in 2001 through a major gift from Dr. Wilkins. Program objectives are to aid and encourage students to have an internship or a floricultural experience outside the United States. The student is responsible for meeting requirements pertaining to traveling/working abroad such as obtaining a visa. passport, and/or work permit. An applicant must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in or recently graduated from college with a degree in horticulture or a closely related course of study and intending to further a career in floriculture. Funding allocations vary depending on the length of the program and anticipated expenses.
